Hi there, I'm Brandon!

Navigating uncharted waters on the journey of healing involves recognizing the profound connection between our mind and body—an essential aspect integrated into my holistic approach to therapy. Our inner compass, naturally attuned to growth and self-discovery, extends beyond the cognitive realm, reaching into the depths of our somatic experience. In my practice, specializing in evidence-based psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and groups, I weave a holistic approach that recognizes the intricate dance between the mind and body. Whether dealing with relationship dynamics, facing shadows of depression and anxiety, overcoming addiction complexities, or navigating the terrain of severe mental illness, I am dedicated to providing support and guidance. Therapy, as a powerful tool, equips you with new skills, knowledge, and perspectives to confront life's challenges. Together, we'll forge a safe and nurturing space for your unique narrative to unfold, allowing your story to be heard, understood, and honored. My aim is not only to acknowledge the milestones you've reached but also to assist you in continuing the remarkable journey of self-discovery and accomplishment.

My approach

I use a trauma-informed approach, respecting the lived experiences and identities each holds unique. In addition to a wide range of general mental health approaches, I have specialty training working with PTSD and trauma, substance use and addiction, relationship issues and couples counseling, and LGBTQIA+ topics.

My focus

I am excited and trained to see individuals, couples, families, and minors (ages 13-17).

My communication style

My communication style is respectful and collaborative. I listen closely to understand your unique experiences and identities. I aim to create a safe space where we can explore challenges and opportunities for growth together, at a pace that feels right for you.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey began with clinical training at the University of Washington Master's in Social Work Program, providing a solid foundation in evidence-based psychotherapy. I further honed my expertise through a post-graduate fellowship in trauma and substance use at the Seattle VA's Center for Excellence. This unique experience has equipped me to navigate the intricate interplay between trauma, substance use, and mental health, offering comprehensive support to individuals facing these challenges. As a Level Two certified Gottman's Couple's Therapist, also bring a wealth of knowledge and skill to my work with couples. Over the years, I've dedicated myself to helping couples build stronger connections and navigate the intricate dynamics that arise in relationships. My goal is to provide a supportive space for couples to thrive, fostering healthy communication and understanding. With over a decade of experience working with both adolescents and adults, I offer insights into the unique challenges and opportunities that different life stages present. My approach is tailored to meet the diverse needs of my clients, recognizing the importance of individualized care. Lastly, as a queer-identifying therapist, I am passionate about creating a safe and affirming space for individuals and couples within the LGBTQ+ community. My specialization extends to working with queer clients, where I encourage exploration, self-discovery, and growth in a supportive and understanding environment.

My goals for you

In the tapestry of life, where our innate capacity for growth and self-discovery unfolds, sometimes we need a gentle guide to navigate the challenges that lie ahead. As a therapist, my mission is to walk beside you in the present moment, acknowledging both the hurdles you face and the transformative growth you aspire to achieve.

My first session with you

After your first session with me, you can expect to feel heard, understood, and validated. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment where you can openly express yourself without fear of judgment. Together, we will begin to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, laying the foundation for our collaborative work ahead. Whether you're seeking support for individual challenges, navigating relationship dynamics, or addressing trauma and substance use concerns, I am here to provide compassionate guidance and support every step of the way. Our journey together is one of growth, resilience, and self-discovery, and I am honored to be your partner in this transformative process.
