Hello... my name is Michelle Locke. I have been actively practicing as a social worker since 1996 and as an LCSW since 2015.
My approach
I enjoy supporting people in therapy through the use of trauma-informed care, CBT, and Strengths Based Treatment.
My focus
My skill set and professional experience lend themselves to supporting people who suffer from depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, PTSD, grief/loss issues, spiritual uncertainty, caregiver fatigue, etc.
My communication style
I find it beneficial to establish an environment where you never have to wonder if you are my priority.
My journey to mental healthcare
I was attracted to a career as a therapist because I myself have benefited from therapy, and I know how important it is to have a non-biased perspective from someone who has my best interest at heart. I continue in the work that I do to offer this same experience to others as it was once afforded to me.
My goals for you
I work to make sure your own expertise on yourself is highlighted, and together, we put together the best plan for ensuring your success with whatever goal or struggle you have identified as having.
My first session with you
During the first session with you, I will try to establish a warm and supportive environment where you can begin to relax and not feel judged by the things that you are hopeful to share in therapy.
