Hi, my name is Peter Klinkner. I am a licensed therapist. Life can be challenging at times and I have a passion for helping others navigate those challenges.
My approach
I take a client-centered approach that meets the needs of the client's goals. I provide solution-focused therapy, integrated with a strengths-based approach. When appropriate, I enjoy a psychodynamic approach that focuses on the root of the issue.
My focus
I typically work with young adults to middle age adults.
My communication style
I create a welcoming, non-judgmental environment. I bring a calming and patient presence that allows clients to share their concerns.
My journey to mental healthcare
I come from a family of therapists and have been working in this field for 13 years. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults on my different levels of needs. I love joining my clients in their journey to freedom and personal health/growth. It is my joy to partner with them in the process.
My goals for you
I encourage clients to create their own goals that are attainable and measurable. I provide suggestions for goals when needed.
My first session with you
During the first session, I allow some time for the client to share their story and present concerns. A client's history can often inform the solution or approach to presenting problems.
