Not currently accepting patients

Hi there, I'm LaShara!

I am passionate about helping clients discuss their experiences and how to tackle decisions while promoting wellness. Life can be filled with choices, and connections, and worry about whether there is an opportunity to embrace life-flourishing activities. At times, some periods of life include suffering, and I desire to ally with my clients, so they do not have to experience these hardships alone. I aspire to foster a safe space to navigate events, beliefs, consequences, communication styles, and new outcomes. The hope is for clients to have access to evidence-based practices to build strengths, purpose, and understanding.

My approach

My approaches to therapy are interpersonal therapy, grief work, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, existential therapy, reality therapy, trauma-focused, and person-centered means.

My focus

I welcome clients who aim to address their life goals while making room for grief work because as one chapter closes, the beginning of the next phase may include suffering. Also, I accept individuals' examination of their life transitions to improve self-awareness, relationship connections, and practice tactical communication.

My communication style

I have a calming disposition toward my clients to approach each individual with compassion, care, and attention to the unique cases. I aim to learn to notice events that affect their lives, and we can navigate automatic thoughts. I listen to individuals as they notice what happens to their bodies and their moods, and we can explore ways to help produce new effects for improved well-being.

My first session with you

The first session is a getting-to-know-you process. It helps to have questions and information handy to share with me that you feel comfortable documenting. During this process, we can review the consent and delve into what brings you to therapy. If you feel pleased with the dialogue and want to proceed, we can discuss your goals to capture your vision for what you would like to receive from regularly scheduled treatment. Your questions and concerns are welcome, too. Thank you.
