I believe that we all go through things in life sometimes when we just need a helping hand and/or someone to listen. I have been providing psychotherapy for over 12 years and enjoy helping others see their strengths and to be a part of the change.
My approach
I use different treatment modalities and it completely depends on the client and what they are wanting and need. The approaches I draw upon include Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Christian Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical (DBT), Experiential Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness-Based, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Solution Focused, and Strength-Based.
My focus
I work with individuals, couples, and adolescents ages 13-17. My specialties encompass anger management, anxiety, borderline personality, coping skills, depression, grief, life transitions, self-esteem, mood disorders, relationship issues, spirituality, sports performance, stress, trauma and PTSD, weight loss, and women's issues.
My communication style
I aim to create a warm, non-judgmental space where you feel heard and validated. My communication style is compassionate yet direct. I'll ask thoughtful questions to understand your perspective and provide honest, constructive feedback to help you gain clarity and consider new possibilities.
My goals for you
My goal is to help you recognize your own strengths and innate abilities to make positive changes in your life. I look forward to being a supportive part of your growth and healing journey.
My first session with you
In our initial session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy and collaborate to identify your specific needs and goals. This will allow us to create a personalized treatment plan to help you move forward in a healthy, productive way.
