Hello, I'm Andrea! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Las Vegas, Nevada and am currently working with clients across the State of Nevada via telehealth. I work with adults who are dealing with addiction, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and more. I’m here as a listening ear, but I will also help you take action. Part of my job is to challenge you. I want you to be able to take skills from therapy and apply them to everyday life.
My approach
I use approaches such as EMDR, CBT, REBT, Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, meeting the client where they are, which may sometimes require a combination of different types of treatment.
My focus
Maybe you’re a college student struggling with a lot of sudden changes, or you might be on probation, adjusting to the world again. No matter what you’re going through, I believe you have a story to tell, and you deserve to be heard. I’m here to accept you as you are, with no judgment. When you’re ready, I’ll help you write the next chapter of your story, so it can look more like the life you want it to be
My communication style
My communication style is calm, accommodating, and personable. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything, and I pride myself on my ability to listen without judgment.
My journey to mental healthcare
I am a helper by nature and have said since the age of 16 that I would be a therapist some day. I have been blessed to be a part of so many stories and am honored to bear witness to amazing growth and transformation in so many lives.
My goals for you
My approach to goal setting with clients is all about working together to define what you want to accomplish in our time together. This often starts by building trust between us, and getting comfortable with what it means to be in therapy.
My first session with you
What you can expect from our first session together is for us to spend the majority of our time talking about those things that have led you to therapy at this time. I will be asking many questions to better understand why you may be feeling the way that you are and how you currently view your situation. Our goal is to build a connection that will make you feel that you have taken the right step in your journey to mental wellness.
