I am a licensed, certified social worker with 30-plus years of experience, and I love my job. I enjoy helping clients find their strengths and guide them to their goals. Together we can find the tools to allow you to gain your full potential. I have a calm presence which will enable me to connect with my clients.
My approach
I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, and family and personal conflicts. A few of the modalities I utilize include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Brief Solution Focused Therapy.
My focus
I see adults 18 years old and up. My clients come from a variety of backgrounds, and I feel comfortable working with people who suffer from depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and various life changes.
My communication style
My communication style is supportive, and I ask questions as the need arises. My speech is calm, and I can be direct if it is needed.
My goals for you
My clients and I discuss what their goals are for therapy and we together work on an acceptable treatment plan.
My first session with you
In my first session, I get to know the client and the client gets to know me. I take a psychosocial history and start the assessment process. I listen to where the client is at the present time and listen to what they want from therapy. I allow time for the client to ask me questions about my professional life.
