Thomas Dwyer LCSW-R When human beings experience loneliness and sadness in life, It’s not uncommon for them to want to reach out to someone for support and healing. I can help clients develop healthy perceptions of themselves while strengthening their relationships and improving their self-esteem. While at the same time helping clients identify their aspirations while working on identifying their aptitudes.

My approach is client-centered inspiring creativity in problem-solving. I will meet you with genuine empathy, open-mindedness and with unconditional positive regard. I believe in working collaboratively with my clients to identify treatment priorities and create a treatment plan to ensure a beneficial and rewarding experience.
My focus
I have a special interest in supporting clients experiencing life and career transitions. I am also a creatively competent therapist who combines the creative therapeutic with the psychotherapy processes to enhance self-exploration and understanding. While at the same time, I am committed to helping clients express their thoughts and feelings that might otherwise be difficult.

I am a very sincere listener who listens without judgment. I will give you respectful time and space to share your experiences, and perspectives as well as working to help understand your concerns and help you find ways to problem solve life’s challenges.
My journey to mental healthcare
I became a therapist to help others through life transitions based on my own artistic personal experiences. I completed my training at Marywood University in Scranton Pennsylvania.

I believe if you know where something is and you’ve a map to guide you. Then you’ll find what it is your looking for. By exploring one’s capabilities and talents I believe one can not only create a map but also a map that helps one find what one is looking for.

Our first session together is a chance for us to get to know each other. It’s an opportunity for you to share why you are seeking treatment and for us to begin creating a plan to help you reach your goals.
