Hello, I'm Rose Guirand! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about supporting all clients in their lives who experience life challenges and have the determination to heal and thrive.

My approach

My approach to therapy is eclectic and based on the needs of each client I work with. I most frequently use Rogerian, Person-Centered Therapy, and Strength Based Therapy. These modalities are helpful and provide the willingness to draw upon the whole person and their intrinsic qualities and talents to forge a thriving way of life.

My focus

I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for all people (18-80) who may be dealing with life challenges. This often takes the form of anxiety, stress, and self-esteem issues. I work to help my clients through these difficult times and build upon coping skills to help them feel better, empowered and reclaim their sense of autonomy in their lives.

My communication style

My communication style is calm, affirming, and nonjudgmental. I want my clients to feel comfortable and open to talking about anything about themselves.

My journey to mental healthcare

I decided to become a therapist because I enjoy helping people on their life journey. It's so rewarding to see a client win themselves back. I feel the work of a therapist always comes from the heart space and being there for your clients truthfully and empowering them to become the expert of their lives. That's what inspires me to be a therapist.

My goals for you

My approach to goal setting with clients is a collaborative approach. We will be working together and finding what you want to accomplish at your own pace. Then, over time, we can set specific goals and track your progress.

What you can expect from our first session is for us to build a connection and work together on where you would want to be in your life and find out what would make you feel better and essentially win yourself fully in order to have a fulfilling and thriving life.
