Hi there, I'm Emily!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the NY area. I love to learn and continue to attend training in many different therapeutic techniques and strategies. I believe that therapy should be individualized and truly believe that the therapeutic relationship itself will foster the greatest results. My true passion is giving individuals the tools they need to better manage all of the different roles they play in their own lives. Depending on the client, I tend to use mostly DBT and CBT-related therapeutic techniques. I have worked extensively with adolescents with emotional and behavioral problems. While my training includes the diagnosis and treatment of many psychiatric disorders, I specialize in the use of DBT therapy for ADHD, Major Depressive Disorder, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder, among many others. While I tailor my sessions to the specific client, I can assure clients that they will walk away feeling heard and supported. While I feel that therapeutic techniques are important, I also feel that the supportive relationship between therapist and client is what leads to the greatest success.
