My approach

I have extensive training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance, and Commitment Therapy, and take an interactive approach to help you with your current stressors. I utilize strength-focused and evidence-based techniques to allow each client to regain control and peace in their life.

My communication style

I like to approach therapy with compassion, a sense of humor, and without judgment. I take an interactive approach to help you with your current stressors. My journey to mental healthcare

I have a background in working for years in urban outpatient mental health clinics. There I immersed myself in working with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Borderline Personality Disorder. I also worked with individuals who have co-occurring diagnoses with substance abuse issues.

My goals for you

My goal is to help you restore balance and feel like your best self again. Therapy is an opportunity to make a change in your thoughts and behaviors, improve relationships, manage life stressors, get support, and overcome obstacles by exploring these parts of your life, we will be able to develop a plan that will best suit your therapeutic needs. As a therapist, I believe there is no obstacle too great to overcome if you find the strength in yourself to reach out for support. I promise to help guide you through personal growth by structuring our sessions to fit your needs.

My first session with you

Picking the right therapist can help you, or a loved one, get on track to feeling better. Our first session will start the process of getting to know each other and spending time working through your goals of therapy.
