Tammy Hammon-Card is an LMHC in NY as well as a National Board-Certified Counselor. I have an MS in Marriage and Family Counseling and over 20 years of experience as a mental health counselor. I see therapy as a joint venture where we work together so you can reach your potential for optimal emotional and mental well-being. I have experience helping people who struggle with anxiety, depression, stress management, grief, life transitions, and self-esteem issues.
My approach
I draw upon a range of modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness techniques to best meet the needs of the individual I am working with.

My journey to mental healthcare
I was drawn to being a therapist through my own personal experiences and understanding the value of having a safe place to be able to process my experiences. I truly enjoy being able to help people and consider it a privilege to support others to reach their full potential.

My first session with you
I like the first session to be a get-to-know-you session where the focus is getting to know the client and gaining an understanding of what the client wants to work on in counseling.
