Hi there, I'm Frances!

Clearly, you have taken the first step toward your well-being. As a psychologist, I will respect your narrative working alongside you to explore the barriers keeping you stuck. I commit to being with you as you explore and challenge concerns, and barriers, deepening your self-awareness so that you may live your authentic life. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Graduate School of The City University of New York. I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the State of New York. I completed my internship and training at Bellevue Hospital Medical Center (BHMC), followed by a two-year Neuropsychology fellowship in the Traumatic Brain Injury Unit of BHMC, which led to a position as the Associate Director of the TBI/Rehabilitative Medicine Unit at the latter facility. I was the Director of Behavioral Health at a Community-Based Organization in Harlem. I developed a behavioral health program for men, women, children, and LGBTQ infected and affected with HIV/AIDS, conducting individual, group, and family therapy. I simultaneously worked in a group practice working with people diagnosed with a seizure disorder. I come with a diverse clinical background. My clinical interest includes but is not limited to disparities in mental health services, depression, and women, substance abuse, trauma, psychogenic seizures (PNES), empowerment and self-advocacy, HIV/AIDS, Stigma as it is related to being diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and mental illness and the impact of racial trauma.
