Shannon Smith-McCourt

My name is Shannon Smith-McCourt, and I am a licensed clinical social worker with 10+ years of experience. My client-focused approach specializes in supporting each individual through the many unique challenges that come with managing day-to-day life.

My approach

As a clinician, it is most important for me to meet the client where they are at and then move forward together. My most common therapeutic approaches have typically ranged from cognitive behavioral therapy to psychodynamic therapy. However, I find it most helpful to treat each client based on their individual needs and experiences.

My focus

Throughout my career, I have worked with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and the array of other mental health challenges that come along with navigating one's life.

My communication style

When it comes to our sessions, my clients can expect an environment in which they feel safe, validated, and, most importantly, never judged.
