Hello, My name is Gillious Soler (Gil). I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have extensive experience as a therapist helping individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma, and PTSD achieve happiness, peace, and fulfillment. I offer individual counseling and use an eclectic therapeutic approach tailored to your specific needs. This approach has been shown to be helpful in addressing multiple and complex issues.
My approach
You should not be told what to do, how to feel, judged, blamed, or shamed. Therapy should be a collaborative effort where you feel open to making positive changes you can see and feel. My patients have referred to me as warm, welcoming, patient, sincere, supportive, direct, humorous, open, and compassionate. Contact me for a free initial consultation.
My focus
I collaboratively work with individuals with Anxiety, Depression, Military PTSD, Trauma, and Sexual Trauma.
My communication style
My patients have referred to me as warm, welcoming, patient, sincere, supportive, direct, humorous, open, and compassionate.
My journey to mental healthcare
I began working in the mental health field in 2003 as a counselor working with severe and persistent mental health adult populations at a residential program in Manhattan. This experience helped me to further develop a passion for helping others. I began working as a therapist in an outpatient setting and realized this was my purpose and found it fulfilled my spiritual needs and life purpose. Therapy has always been helpful in my personal, professional, and spiritual growth. As I learn more about my patients, I learn more about myself, and through each interaction, I become more proficient in my field of choice. I remain passionate and optimistic about the potential for my patients to learn, grow and find their own purpose and fulfillment in life.
My goals for you
I approach goal setting through a collaborative process. I believe each client is an individual who deserves the respect of a tailored treatment plan to fit their individual needs and preferences.
My first session with you
A warm, friendly introduction where we can begin getting to know each other. I'll share my experience and discuss my eclectic therapeutic approach with you. I'll ask some questions to get an idea of your presenting concern, the history of the concern, how it impacts you, and what you hope to get out of therapy.
