I am a licensed clinical therapist whose mission is to help you thrive and succeed. My expertise lies in using client-focused interventions with an eclectic treatment approach to help people achieve their goals of stress reduction, improved coping skills, communication, and self-esteem. Being an Afro-Latina myself, I know that having a culturally-sensitive therapist is very important to ensure that clients feel heard and supported in sessions.
My approach
I believe in creating a space of acceptance and unconditional positive regard in order to foster self-acceptance and healing. I consider my approach eclectic; I have extensive knowledge and experience in many different modalities, including but not limited to the ones mentioned below. I strongly believe in meeting the client where they are and establishing a strong therapeutic relationship to achieve the client's goals.
My focus
I work with patients with various needs and goals during therapy. I prefer to work with patients that are open to becoming more self-aware and learning coping skills to manage their mental health.
My communication style
I am a firm believer in starting where the Patient is at. You will find my therapeutic style warm, supportive, and non-judgmental. I tailored my therapeutic style to the needs of my Patients.
