My name is Tatiana Grant, LMHC. I help successful people of color navigate life transitions. I graduated from Long Island University with a Master’s Degree in Counseling. I help BIPOC millennials bounce back from challenging circumstances. I know where you and we can make things better, together. Let me help you figure out what to do when life doesn't go as expected.
My approach
I utilize a Cognitive Behavioral Approach to help clients explore the thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress. My approach encompasses a variety of research-based methods. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (how our thoughts, feelings, behaviors affect each other), Systems Therapy (the different roles you play in life) and Motivational Interviewing (what motivates you to make changes).
My focus
I work with people trying to navigate life's ups and downs. Many of my clients are managing Anxiety Disorders; however, a great number have events from their past that continue to affect them today.
My communication style
My humanity is generally on display from the very beginning. I empower my clients to own their role as experts in their lives.
My goals for you
My clients set their own goals, and we remain flexible about how and when we achieve them.
My first session with you
Expect to give me a glimpse into your world so I can get a better understanding of who you are.
