Hello! My name is Cindy, and I live in upstate NY with my dog, two cats, and turtle! I see myself as a very welcoming and warm person who does their best to help clients feel as comfortable as possible!
My approach
I believe that clients should be in charge of their own success as much as possible. I am here to help you get there! I cater my therapy approach based on clients' needs to ensure they are receiving the most out of their treatment! I work best with clients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and LGBT - related concerns.
My focus
I enjoy working with clients who want to obtain the coping skills needed to move forward in their desired direction.
My communication style
I always do my best to present a friendly, non-judgmental communication style to clients. I engage in active listening to make sure I fully understand my clients.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have always wanted to make a difference for others and be able to end each work day knowing I did so. I didn't always want to be a therapist (I originally pursued being a music teacher). However, that didn't work out; but I never looked back once I took the therapy path!
My goals for you
Success is when a client can tell me they have noticed a difference in themselves, even if it's small! The small victories should also be acknowledged!
My first session with you
I take my first session as an opportunity to know my clients on a more personal level. I also provide the opportunity for them to ask me questions.
