Hi there, I'm Roxana!

My name is Roxana Kennedy, and I am a dually licensed Marriage and Family Therapist/Social Worker in Ohio. I have 11 years of experience within the field of mental and behavioral health, where I started as an outpatient therapist in a community mental health setting. I have gathered extensive experience and knowledge regarding issues related to mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related stress, and substance abuse. Having said that, I believe that the cornerstone of any therapeutic progress comes down to the relationship between the client and the therapist. With that in mind, my utmost priority is my clients, and I strive to provide a kind, comforting and non-judgmental environment within my therapeutic scope of practice. My treatment approach revolves around the needs of my clients, as I do believe that treatment should be tailored to the individual in front of me. I strive to work with each individual client on their goals and treatment plans as I am collaborative in my approach, regardless of modality. I am trained in CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Client-Centered Therapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT. I have also begun incorporating aspects of Mindfulness into my sessions to help with emotional regulation. I am an open-minded person who is adept at listening and providing empathy, compassion, and care. Additionally, I have extensive experience working with couples and families, as that has been the bulk of my training as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
