Shandra Mbanga is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Tennessee providing individual therapy to adults. She has over 10 years of counseling experience in various medical settings dealing with clients with chronic illnesses, anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and life transitions. Through these experiences, she has worked with many populations with from various walks of life. Everyone’s journey is unique that is why she prioritizes an individual approach. Shandra is committed to empowering her clients with the tools, training, and knowledge they need to perform optimally in their daily experiences. Through the use of evidence-based strategies, she is able to help her clients with a variety of coping techniques.
My approach
Shandra uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psycho-Educational Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Shandra's theoretic approach is based on the belief that clients are in charge of their counseling experience.

I was drawn to the helping profession through my love for helping others and restoring hope when facing challenging times. I am generally a positive person and I know that at times we all need some encouragement. I have a passion for emotional healing and the rewards of seeing others prosper in their life journey.
