Hello Everyone! My name is DeVaunier' Cannon. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas. The University of Texas at Arlington is where I received my Master's Degree in Social Work. Being in the helping profession is what I have wanted to do since I was a child.
My approach
My approach is supportive, open, honest, and transparent. The therapy I provide is designed specifically for your needs. No matter the goal, we can reach it. As long as you are willing to put in the work, I know that we can conquer anything.

My journey to mental healthcare
My professional experience began in 2016 as a therapist/case manager/discharge planner at a mental health hospital. Working with people in crisis was difficult, but it allowed me to learn how to handle crisis situations, such as people who were actively and passively suicidal/homicidal, with severe depression and anxiety, struggling with psychosis, substance abuse and detoxing, and victims/perpetrators of abuse. I have also worked for a mobile crisis unit, assessing and providing resources for individuals and their families. From 10/2017 to 10/2019, I completed my clinical hours for licensure under the supervision of Dr. Norman Cobb at the UTA Social Work building.
