Hi there, I'm Ashley!

As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges and find solutions to the problems they face. With over seven years of clinical experience, I bring a compassionate and collaborative approach to the therapy room.

My approach

My therapeutic approach draws from Solution Focused and Narrative therapy models. I believe in focusing on your strengths and resources to help you construct new narratives and find actionable solutions. Together, we can explore new ways of thinking and interacting that align with your goals and values.

My focus

I work with a wide range of clients, including individuals, couples, and families. Some of the issues I have experience with include addiction, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and family conflict. No matter what you are going through, I am here to listen to your unique story without judgment.

My communication style

Building a strong therapeutic alliance is the foundation of my work. I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental space where you feel safe to open up and be yourself. Through empathetic listening and collaborative dialogue, we will work together to gain insights, build coping skills, and create lasting positive change.

My journey to mental healthcare

My own journey into the mental health field began with a deep curiosity about human relationships and a desire to make a positive impact in people's lives. I graduated with my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Woman's University in 2015. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy to deepen my knowledge and better serve my clients. I have gained invaluable clinical experience at Denton County MHMR and Sante Center for Healing.

My goals for you

My ultimate goal is to empower you with the tools and insights you need to overcome challenges, enhance your relationships, and lead a more fulfilling life. I want to help you build resilience, gain self-awareness, and develop a stronger sense of self. Through our work together, I hope you will feel heard, supported, and equipped to navigate life's ups and downs with greater confidence and ease.

My first session with you

During our first session, we will focus on getting to know each other and understanding what brings you to therapy. I will listen intently to your story, concerns, and hopes for the future. We will also discuss your goals and expectations for therapy. This session is an opportunity for you to ask questions, express any apprehensions, and get a sense of what working together will be like. My aim is to create a comfortable, collaborative space from the very beginning of our therapeutic relationship.
