My approach
She utilizes various therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness, EMDR, and motivational interviewing.
My focus
Typical clientele includes but is not limited to young adults to adults with Mild to Moderate Mental Health issues that are treatable with Psychotherapy and Medication if necessary. Clients who are willing to work on improving their current state of emotional well-being with the facilitation of the therapist.
My communication style
I'm transparent and work collaboratively with my patients to provide a Safe Place for emotional healing. Once a rapport is established, the client feels comfortable to share and navigating traumatic experiences that would not otherwise be achievable with others.
My journey to mental healthcare
I grew up in an Economically Disadvantaged Community, so I was exposed to many challenges that could have impeded my ability to become who I am today. Fortunately, with the support of my parents, I was the first family member to graduate from College. My "Why" for becoming a therapist is to share my journey with others who may feel as though they are not able to overcome life challenges.
My goals for you
Goal setting is completed once data is gathered from multiple resources, i.e., clients, formal and informal assessments, and observations. Once all necessary data is obtained, the client is able to collaboratively develop identified goals with the therapist.
My first session with you
During the first visit, the client should expect to get to know the therapist beyond what's provided in the BIO and for the Therapist to get to know the client beyond what's been provided in the Intake. The therapist will explore what the client's goal for treatment is and later decide if we are a "good fit" to proceed.
