Hi there, I'm Randall!

My approach to counseling is based on sound training, professional expertise, and personal growth. My goal is to provide experienced and compassionate care, to provide practical and problem-specific interventions to assist you in developing the tools needed to achieve your personal and mental health goals. I offer individualized, psychological care in a telehealth format to treat depression, marital, family, and teen issues, anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation, and behavioral issues. My approach is evidence and strengths-based.

My approach

I specialize in offering you the tools to apply toward coping effectively with your unique struggles. I believe that by offering weekly homework and targeted instruction you will be able to empower yourself towards change. I help you understand mindfulness, being present, managing, and changing thoughts to improve self-awareness and psychological health. I primarily apply DBT and CBT approaches.

My focus

I have extensive experience working with all ages and conditions. This includes children and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings. My primary emphasis is on adults and teens.

My communication style

I have a person-to-person approach, non-judgmental and accepting.

My goals for you

Goal setting is important to me. I complete a comprehensive intake which is designed to explore the history of a person's life and evaluate how this history influences the present. Through this analysis, we develop a treatment plan with measurable objectives.

My first session with you

The first session covers HIPPA laws, confidentiality, and required reporting. The session will then cover any questions you may have and expectations. The session will then cover the history of the identified problem, strengths, and support network. If time permits, the biopsychosocial will be completed. Finally, based on this analysis the treatment plan is developed, the diagnosis considered, and homework is assigned as well as handouts offered for review.
