Hi there, I'm Cori Jo!

I am Cori Jo East-Long a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Tarleton State University. I have worked in the mental health field for over 8 years.

My approach

I use approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), and Adlerian therapy.

My focus

I have a history of working with clients with depression and anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse issues. My other areas of expertise include foster care, adoption, parenting issues, and LGBTQ+ issues.

My communication style

I strive to create a safe environment where my clients feel comfortable sharing their feelings and thoughts. I am very straightforward with my clients and non-judgmental.

Creating goals is an important part of the therapeutic process. I work with my client to help guide them in finding the goals they which to achieve.
