As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I bring a holistic approach to identifying and treating the macro and micro needs of the community. With a Master of Social Work degree from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at The University of Illinois at Chicago, I am dedicated to creating sustainable healing by incorporating strength-based systems of care.
My approach
My treatment approach integrates motivational interviewing, self-compassion principles, embodied practices, and a person-centered perspective. I draw upon a range of modalities, including Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Trauma Focused, Strength-Based, Reality Therapy, Somatic, Solution Focused, and Psychodynamic approaches, tailoring my approach to each individual's unique needs.
My focus
I work with individuals and minors (ages 13-17) experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, intermittent explosive disorder, eating disorders, body dysmorphic disorder, and ADHD. My focus is on helping patients develop coping skills, improve self-esteem, and address behavioral issues.

I believe in open, honest communication and creating a safe, non-judgmental space for my patients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Through active listening and empathy, I strive to build a strong therapeutic alliance that fosters growth and healing.
My journey to mental healthcare
My journey to mental healthcare began with a deep desire to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families. Throughout my approximately 20 years of social work experience, I have worked in various clinical and community-related areas, including runaway/displaced youth, foster care, therapeutic day schools, outpatient treatment, and community mental health facilities. This diverse background has given me a comprehensive understanding of the complex challenges people face and the importance of accessible, quality mental healthcare.
