Hi there, I'm Tamela!

Hello, my name is Dr. Tamela Evans, and I am a licensed professional counselor. I began my professional endeavors in service to others. While serving in the United States Air Force Reserve, I began counseling fellow airmen and staff on career progression, benefits, and retirement. I completed a Master's Degree in Education at Old Dominion University in 2011, formally pursuing a career in counseling. I later completed a Doctorate of Education at Georgia Southern University in 2019. Since 2008, I have worked with a diverse population of clients and communities. I have specialized in crisis services, substance and alcohol use, depression, and co-occurring disorders. I am well versed in several theoretical approaches and techniques to counseling and the nuances of various cultures; however, I utilize an open and genuine method of inquiry and support for the clients I work with.
