Life can be really hard, and we all deal with things that shape us into who we are, for better or worse. Sometimes we need extra support and guidance to process those difficult experiences and improve ourselves and our quality of life. This is where I am able to help.
My approach
I think it is important to meet each client where they are and work alongside them to get them to where they want to be. Techniques that I use in therapy include active listening, empathy, re-framing, communication skills, Cognitive behavior modifications, motivational interviewing, trauma-focused CBT, support, and solution-focused.
My focus
I work with teens, young adults, and adults. The most common symptoms I work with include depression, anxiety, life skills, life transition, life satisfaction, family problems, assertiveness training, trauma, and anger.
My communication style
I listen with empathy and strive to understand your perspective. Through open and collaborative dialogue, I aim to create a safe space where you feel heard and supported. My communication style is warm, non-judgmental, and focused on helping you gain clarity and find solutions that work for your unique situation.
My goals for you
Allow you to be the best version of yourself. What that looks like is different for everyone, and we can work together to set your goals.
My first session with you
I strive to make your first session as relaxed and natural as possible while also gathering pertinent information. We will spend time getting to know one another, allowing space for you to tell me why you have reached out and what I might be able to help you with.
