I am Dr. Latoya Gassaway-White, and I have my LPC. I have been practicing CBT and solution-focused mostly, but I have experience with psychodynamic and family therapy approaches.
My approach
I believe that clients dictate which type of therapy to approach and that it is best when a client leads the way. Together we create realistic and attainable goals, and then I help my clients tackle and achieve those goals.
My focus
I work primarily with clients with anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties.
My communication style
I am the type of therapist who pushes her clients to think outside of the box and to be uncomfortable at times, and to work hard on seeing all perspectives.
My journey to mental healthcare
I was in the 7th grade when I decided to be a therapist. After undergrad studying psychology, I went on to attain my master's in Counseling Psychology and then my doctorate in Clinical Psychology (which included obtaining another Master's in Clinical Psychology on the way).

We create goals together and then tackle them one by one.
My first session with you
The first session is completing an intake and then creating the goals.
