Hi there, I'm Jillian!

Hi! My name is Jillian Pelzer. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor for the state of VA. I take a person-centered approach to therapy, meaning you are the expert of your own life. I am simply here to help you organize your thoughts and judgment so that you can make positive decisions for your life.

My approach

I am a non-judgmental and open therapist that seeks only to help better the lives of each client I serve --looking forward to becoming part of your support group!

My focus

I have expertise in counseling clients with depression, parenting problems, suicidal ideation, adjustment disorders, substance use problems, and more.

My communication style

I am super laid back! This will be a no-stress, no-pressure situation. The time is yours to use how you'd like. I am always flexible with my clients.

My journey to mental healthcare

Being a therapist has always been my calling! It is something I am passionate about. I have always enjoyed helping others.

My goals for you

Setting your goals will be a collaboration between the client and the clinician. I will allow you to express your personal goals while also making suggestions on goals for the client.

My first session with you

The first session will be a great opportunity for the therapist and client to get to know each other and ask any initial questions they may have for each other. It will be a very casual session.
