Charles Koah

Hello. I am Charlie Koah, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia. I have over 30 years of experience as a therapist. I consider myself to be a non-judgmental problem solver who helps others resolve issues and move on to a better place in life.

My approach

As a counselor, I work to lay out a path to help each of you become unstuck or move onward to solve problems and grow. I utilize a cognitive behavioral approach to change attitudes or behaviors that are negatively impacting your functioning level.

My focus

I work with a variety of people. My focus is on anxiety, stress, depression, and interpersonal relationships issues. I also deal with infidelity in relationships along with addictions such as gambling and porn.

My communication style

I am a laid back non-judgmental person who guides you as opposed to telling you. At the same time, I will give you a direct opinion if asked.

Simply put I like helping people get into a better place. Feels good.

My goals for you

I attempt to have clients develop a system to approach hoped-for changes. Take notes or use reminders to make sure progress is measured.

My first session with you

A minute or two of small talk, get to know each other a bit and then it is time to get to it. Therapy cost money and we are looking for results and problem-solving.
