Hi, I'm Alison Outten, LCSW licensed in VA 0904012454. I am a therapist committed to helping others find more fulfillment in life. My great passion is bringing healing to people who have been through a traumatic experience or the everyday struggles of life. I will be committed to you and will work with empathy and compassion to assist you through your own personal journey.
My approach
I know there is not a one page fits all treatment approach, and I use a holistic approach to meet clients where they are in life. I believe in working in partnership with clients to utilize their strengths to help them sort out their challenges and achieve their goals.
My focus
These treatment approaches include person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, strength-based therapy, and motivational interviewing. I have a broad range of clinical experience working with individuals in areas including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, and life coaching.
My communication style
I'm an active listener who listens without judgment. I provide reflection while working to understand your concerns and to help clarify issues.
