Hi there, I'm Marianne!

I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mary Washington College (now UMW) in 1993 and my Master of Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1996. My approach to the therapeutic process encourages transparency, collaboration, and compassionate progression to maximize life experiences. I believe that attachments in life are significant, and the lack of them creates situations that can be overwhelming and hard to navigate. My approach is to facilitate an environment filled with trust, humility, and free of judgment in order to explore emotions and vulnerabilities that lie below the surface. I will dig in, helping you heal from the inside, not just teach you skills for symptom relief. I’m analytical, use my irreverent sense of humor (when appropriate), solution-focused and research-oriented. I am experienced with older adolescents, adults, and couples. I primarily work with women and men, first responders, emergency professionals, teachers, clergy, and other helping professionals. Your positive and healthy transformation is my passion.
