My name is Brooke Thorson and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Wisconsin. I have multiple years of experience working mostly with children, adolescents, young adults, parents, and families of all backgrounds.
My approach
As a practicing therapist, I feel privileged to be a part of peoples’ unique journeys in processing, coping, healing, and overcoming life stressors through strengths-based and client-centered approaches.
My focus
I treat clients experiencing a wide variety of life situations and mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, and trauma. As an adoptee myself, I also have a specialty in helping clients impacted by adoption and foster care. I'm also only seeing clients below 18 years old.
My communication style
I believe in the importance of walking alongside clients through offering active listening, validation, and transparency.
