Every hardship or life event shapes us to be who we are but does not define us. My passion is to learn about people and where they are in their current life journey. I hope to help empower them to overcome their present hardships. I specialize in working with families, children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with relationship conflict, anxiety, depression, and bipolar mania/depression.
My approach
I combine holistic, client-centered, Cognitive Behavioral/Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and a trauma-centered approach.
My focus
At this time, I am treating adults 18-65 for a wide variety of conditions including, but not limited to: grief and loss, divorce, depression, anxiety, and phase of life issues.
My communication style
I provide a warm, empathetic, and conversational environment with clients. I allow clients time to process information and am directive and gently challenging when needed.
My goals for you
I approach goal setting with clients as a collaborative event and spend time incorporating client goals and explaining the why behind the interventions and goals on the treatment plan.
My first session with you
Clients will be met warmly with introductions and a brief explanation of how the first therapy session will be structured and what to expect from therapy moving forward. I will inquire about the reason that brought clients into therapy and what goals they would like to accomplish with therapy.
