I am Ana Yesenia Lainez, LCSW, a board certified psychotherapist/clinical social worker, from California, who works with adults and adolescents and provides care for patients who struggle with symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, and sleep disturbances as result of trauma, medical issues, grief and life challenges.

Mrs. Lainez has extensive experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and has been a board certified clinical social worker for 6 years. Mrs. Lainez, treatment approach is rooted in eclectic therapy and often pulls from evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioral, attachment-based, mindfulness-based, narrative, psychodynamic, and solution focused therapy methods.

Mrs. Lainez has excelled in her practice with adolescents and adults who struggle with daily stressors due to depression, anxiety, and trauma. Mrs. Lainez is passionate and committed to assisting her patients reach their goals. Also, she is fluent in Spanish and English and is competent in Hispanic cultural needs.

Mrs. Lainez’s main goals for her patient include utilizing strengths patients already have and developing healthy coping mechanisms to reach healing. She believes that in her practice, her patients can find a safe empathetic space to embark on a journey of self-awareness. She has a unique view and experience with CBT that will help patients improve their present situation.
My journey to mental healthcare
Personal/medical struggles instilled the need to support those who are being affected by emotional stress. Mrs. Lainez studied at University of California Los Angeles, where she obtained a Master’s Degree in Social Welfare. She also worked for Optimist for 4 years, where she established her collaborative and individualized approach that has been a crucial part of her practice and their patients' success and progress.
