Hello! I'm Haley Morris. I am a licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Marriage and Family Therapist. I believe in a client-centered approach to therapy, taking each client and each session individually.
My approach
I base my theoretical approach based off the clients' needs per session. I incorporate tools and skills from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Therapy.
My focus
I work with clients 18 years and older from all different backgrounds and circumstances. I specialize in anxiety, depression, relationships, trauma, substance abuse, grief, and transition.
My communication style
My goal is to provide a warm, safe, comfortable space, to build rapport and trust.
My journey to mental healthcare
From an early age, I was told I was a good listener and I've always enjoyed helping others. I love being a therapist. It is very rewarding to be part of someone's growth and healing.
My goals for you
I like to work collaboratively with my clients to set long and short-term goals for our time together. I believe in keeping goals flexible to allow room for adjusting them as needed. I find it helpful to set weekly goals with clients based on the tools and techniques discussed in session.
My first session with you
The first session is an opportunity for the client to share their story and discuss goals for therapy. In the first session, I like to review their guidelines for confidentiality and the therapeutic approach. It's normal to feel nervous in the first session, but I will be there to walk through it with you.
