My mission, as a practitioner, is to reduce human suffering and promote calm, unravel residual trauma-based anxiety and feelings of depression that have interfered with your everyday living and connection to loved ones, family, and community.
My approach
I strive to do this through evidence-based and human-centered talk therapy, solution-focused intervention, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy. The treatment methods are tailored to the client's needs and are always a collaborative effort.
My focus
I am willing to see individuals and specialize in anger management, behavioral issues, career counseling, anxiety, depression, coping skills, divorce, LGBTQIA+, mood disorders, parenting, self-esteem, stress, relationship issues, trauma PTSD, and panic attacks.
My communication style
I communicate with empathy, clarity, and a solutions-oriented approach. Through active listening and collaboration, we'll work together to understand your unique challenges and develop effective strategies to help you heal and grow.
My journey to mental healthcare
I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. I completed 500 clinical hours at Columbus School in Berkeley, CA in 1988 and 3000 hours at Families That Care, FFA in Oakland, CA from 2006-2008 to obtain my license.
