My name is Myan Le, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist based in Southern California. I offer telehealth therapy to children, teens, and adults. I specialize in anxiety, stress, life transitions, self-esteem, and relationship issues. I use a strengths-based, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach to help my clients build resilience and better manage life events.
My approach
I take a strengths-based, collaborative, and individualized approach to therapy. I most frequently utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help my clients identify their strengths, build on their best qualities, and change unhelpful perspectives in order to overcome obstacles.
My focus
I specialize in working with children, teens, and adults who are experiencing anxiety and stress from life transitions. These transitions can negatively impact a client’s ability to function at school, at work, and in their relationships. I help clients experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and relationship conflict to identify helpful strategies to better manage life's challenges, navigate through stressful times and build a more positive view of themselves.
My communication style
I use a warm, calm, and non-judgmental communication style to create a safe and comfortable space for my clients to share their thoughts and feelings. I am an active listener who pays attention to both verbal and non-verbal communication. This helps me to best understand my clients and provide them with the support they need.
My journey to mental healthcare
I became a therapist to provide support and help people better understand themselves and their situations so that they can live their best lives. My goal is to help clients see themselves as resourceful and resilient so they can capitalize on their strengths, see their value, and begin to feel better.
My goals for you
I take a collaborative approach to goal setting. I believe that the best goals are those that are developed by the client and therapist together. This ensures that the goals are meaningful to the client and that they are realistic and achievable. I also believe that each person and situation is unique, so I tailor my approach to goal setting to the individual client. I encourage my clients to take ownership of their goals and to make their own decisions about how to move forward.
My first session with you
During a first session, a client can expect me to actively listen and ask questions to better understand who they are as individuals and their life experiences. I believe it is important to build trust and a connection to help clients feel comfortable as we move through their unique journey in therapy. I will begin to work closely with clients to identify their strengths, capabilities, and challenges and collaborate with them on where they would like to focus attention.
