I have 17 years of experience treating individuals, adolescents, adults, and families from all walks of life through a trauma-informed lens. I can help you identify your challenges, guide you to meet your goals, and support you in becoming your personal best!
My approach
My therapy style focuses on the specific needs of the client. It may be short-term therapy to deal with a particular problem or more extensive treatment to help gain insight into long-term dysfunctional patterns and issues. I use modalities that make sense to the individual's presenting symptoms and personality, including Attachment-based, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Culturally Sensitive, Dialectical (DBT), Mindfulness-Based, Person-Centered, Solution Focused, Strength-Based, and Trauma Focused approaches.
My focus
I work with individuals dealing with anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, grief, job stress, life transitions, mood disorders, panic attacks, self esteem issues, stress, thought disorders, trauma and PTSD. I also specialize in treating older adults.
My communication style
Therapy with me allows us to look at the problem areas in your life in a safe and non-judgmental environment to find ways to make the changes you desire. I am committed to helping you reach your personal goals and realize your full potential.
My journey to mental healthcare
I earned my Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Interpersonal Practice & Mental Health from the University of Michigan. I have practiced in various settings, including community-based, crisis, inpatient psychiatry, and outpatient settings serving a diverse clientele. This experience has shaped my trauma-informed approach to helping clients from all walks of life.
My goals for you
I aim to help you find the strength to welcome change and learn ways to improve your life and relationships. My goals are to help you manage the feelings associated with life's struggles, recognize, understand and change self-defeating patterns, heal past pain, discover and foster your inner strength, and learn new coping strategies that allow you to get what you want and feel good about yourself.
