Hi there, I'm Kristal!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working in California. I have worked with a wide range of clients in my practice, including Toddlers to the elderly. I am a registered Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, also certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and I also have worked with high-risk/suicidal clients using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I also have expertise in family therapy, have been certified in Positive Parenting Therapy, and have some experience in Parent Child Interactive therapy. I have worked for the County of Los Angeles, where I provided Therapy for 5 years and have done crisis intervention for another 5 years. I have worked with clients with a wide range of problems, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, schizophrenia, suicidal ideations/self-injurious behaviors, and parenting problems. My therapy style is warm and client-oriented. I walk alongside my clients, helping them learn how to cope with life stressors and bringing insight into negative coping mechanisms. To assist the client's further developing positive problem-solving skills and positive social interactions to increase self-esteem and develop self-awareness. My approach is tailored to each client upon initial assessment. In life, at times, it's easier to help others instead of helping ourselves. This initial leap into Therapy or return to Therapy is a commitment to a better self, and I am here to help you fulfill your emotional needs and life goals. I look forward to working with you.
