As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 18 years of experience, I use a comprehensive approach considering how all aspects of a person's life can impact overall well-being. I work with people of all ages and backgrounds who are challenged by various internal conflicts, including interpersonal, romantic, work, and family issues.
My approach
My approach is to help you gain insight into the nature of your situation and develop the skills to make changes that help you feel in control and happier. I use tools to support your individualized healing journey, creating an atmosphere of warmth, safety, and acceptance in our therapy sessions.
My focus
I specialize in helping individuals with issues related to coping skills, ADHD, anger management, anxiety, codependency, cultural stress, depression, family conflict, grief, pregnancy/prenatal/postpartum concerns, and trauma/PTSD.
My communication style
I have a straightforward, interactive communication style in treatment. I am passionate about my work and strongly believe in the healing benefits of psychotherapy.
My journey to mental healthcare
I earned my Doctor of Psychology degree and completed my clinical hours for licensure between 2005-2019 at the Del Norte County Mental Health Branch and Remi Vista, Inc. in Crescent City, CA. This experience solidified my passion for supporting others on their mental health journeys.
My goals for you
My goal is to empower you with the insights and skills needed to navigate life's challenges, find inner peace, and thrive. Through our work together, I aim to help you build resilience, gain a deeper understanding of yourself, and develop healthier ways of thinking and relating to others.
My first session with you
In our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy and begin to develop a trusting rapport. I will listen intently to understand your unique story, challenges, and aspirations. Together, we will start to identify your therapeutic goals and map out a personalized treatment plan to help you achieve positive growth and change.
