Hi! I'm here to help you have the life you want, as sometimes life becomes challenging, and adjusting to life changes isn't always easy. I am glad that you prioritize your needs by coming here for help. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 8 years of experience working in various settings, including not-for-profit mental health agencies and private practice.
My approach
I believe that treatment is a collaborative approach. Primarily I rely on CBT, DBT, and Experiential therapies, with the utilization of mindfulness. I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet your unique needs and goals.
My focus
I specialize in working with individuals and couples on a wide range of issues, including aging, anxiety, career counseling, coping skills, depression, family conflict, grief, job stress, life coaching, life transitions, mood disorders, parenting, self-esteem, spirituality, stress, thought disorders, trauma and PTSD, pregnancy/prenatal/postpartum concerns, and marital/pre-marital counseling. I also enjoy working with older adults.
My communication style
My communication style is warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental. I aim to create a safe and supportive space where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I listen attentively and provide feedback and guidance to help you gain insight and develop effective coping strategies.
My journey to mental healthcare
I began my journey in mental healthcare during my Master's program in Marriage and Family Therapy at John F. Kennedy University in California. I was drawn to this field by a desire to help others navigate life's challenges and achieve their goals. Over the past 8 years, I have honed my skills and gained valuable experience working in diverse settings.
My goals for you
My goal is to empower you to make positive changes in your life, develop greater self-awareness, and build stronger relationships. I will work collaboratively with you to identify your strengths, explore your challenges, and develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your unique needs and goals. Together, we will work towards helping you achieve lasting growth and well-being.
My first session with you
During our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy and explore your goals for treatment. I will ask questions to gain a better understanding of your background, experiences, and current challenges. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the therapy process and to determine if we are a good fit. If we decide to work together, we will develop a plan for moving forward and schedule future sessions.
