I am a licensed therapist with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of New England. I work within a client-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach, specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy complemented by narrative, psychodynamic, and dialectical behavioral techniques.
My approach
My therapeutic approach draws from various modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Compassion Focused, Culturally Sensitive, Dialectical (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative, Psychodynamic, Solution Focused, Strength-Based, and Trauma Focused therapies. I tailor my approach to best meet the unique needs of each individual client.
My focus
I specialize in working with individuals dealing with anxiety, codependency, coping skills, depression, domestic violence, dual diagnosis, self-esteem issues, stress, and child abuse or neglect. My goal is to offer a safe space to assist those navigating difficult times in their lives.
My communication style
I believe in creating a non-judgmental, kind, and gentle environment where clients can embrace vulnerability and strength without fear. I communicate with compassion and aim to help clients process their experiences in a healthy way, understanding that these experiences do not define who they are or who they want to be.
My journey to mental healthcare
I pursued a career in mental healthcare after completing my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at the University of New England from March 2016 to December 2017. My motivation stems from a desire to support individuals in their healing journeys and help them navigate life's challenges.
My goals for you
My goal for you is to provide a supportive space where you can process your experiences, develop coping skills, and work toward personal growth and healing. I aim to empower you to embrace your strengths, build resilience, and create positive changes in your life.
My first session with you
In our first session, we will focus on understanding your unique needs, concerns, and goals for therapy. This will be a safe space for you to share your story and begin building a therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, and collaboration. Together, we will take the first steps towards your healing and growth.
