I am Ana Zalles, LMFT 137168. I am a multi-dynamic and integrative therapist. I have a background in Trauma, CBT, DBT, and multiple other EBP approaches to range ages 3-65+. I enjoy expanding my treatment expertise and currently training in EMDR and Psychedelic Assisted Treatment.
My approach
I am a strengths-based and solution focus approach. I understand therapy and trust take time to build, but I want to offer you the opportunity to begin changing your life and move towards a happier/stable environment from our initial session, and on. Therapy is your own space, so I also like to be directive and include as many of your needs and input to our treatment together. This is your time and I want you to take advantage of it. I love to hear about your wants/needs during our session and work collaboratively to approach those goals.
My focus
I feel comfortable with clients of all ages and cultural backgrounds. I have extensive training and treatment focus on survivors of trauma, anxiety, and depression.
My communication style
I am exactly as I am with my friends. I am genuine, direct, and honest. I like for people to be comfortable in the session and leave feeling like they have accomplished a step toward their goals in each session.
My journey to mental healthcare
Like anyone related to any field, I have personal experiences with both therapies (personal and people near me). I have been in your shoes, so I want to come up with a client-centered approach and help you meet your goals and support as much as I would have liked.
My goals for you
It's always a collaborative approach!
My first session with you
I describe my approach and steps; provide room for as many questions as you want. It's important to find a therapist that you feel comfortable with so I encourage you to ask me as many questions as you need.
