Hello and welcome! I am a lived experience licensed marriage and family therapist who is also a post-doctorate Ph.D. researcher in clinical psychology and integral health biophysics (life physics). I am a mom, a daughter, and a survivor of trauma who understands the lived experiences of adversity and its impact on the whole person.
My approach
I utilize a needs-based approach that is specifically individualized to the uniqueness of the person. Various assessments are offered to assist the individual in objectively matching needs to solution-focused strategies. A treatment plan is co-created with you that provides strategies that are research-proven or evidence-based.
My focus
I am available for individual therapy (youth and adults), conjoint therapy (couples, parenting), family therapy, and group therapy. I specialize in working with children (5-7), preteens (8-12), minors (13-17), individuals, couples, and families.
My communication style
You are the expert of you, and because of that, my role in therapy is as a collaborator with you every step of the way.
My journey to mental healthcare
For that reason, I chose to become a researcher in clinical psychology and biophysics and to incorporate this knowledge into my practice as a licensed marriage and family therapist [MFT #113252]. My clinical hours for licensure included practicum at Community Research Foundation Crisis House in San Diego, CA from 8/2013 to 2/2014, work at the County of San Diego Probation Department throughout San Diego, CA from 02/2014 to 02/2018, and experience at Mental Health Systems, Inc. Teen Recovery Center in San Marcos, CA from 12/2015 to 3/2017.
My goals for you
My goal is to provide you with research-proven or evidence-based strategies tailored to your unique needs, assisting you in finding solutions and fostering positive change.
