Hi, I am Ashley Cyrus and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My goal as your therapist is to provide caring support to help you overcome challenges that are keeping you from meeting your personal life goals and your full potential. I believe that each person offers their own personal talents and contributes in their own way.
My approach
My theoretical approach to therapy utilizes an Integrative therapy approach using combined theoretical approaches such as Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-focused, Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems, Meditation/Mindfulness, Trauma Focused, Attachment-Based, and Strength-based therapy while catering my therapy services to each individual person.
My focus
I enjoy working with adult clients and couples experiencing concern regarding the following areas: Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Adoption, Anxiety, Autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Depression, Intellectual Disability, racial/cultural identity, relationship issues, self-esteem, Trauma, and Spirituality.
My communication style
I seek to help individuals identify and draw upon their own personal strengths through therapy using an active and engaging format with my clients. I offer a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients while meeting them where they are in their lives and utilizing therapeutic skills and techniques such as authenticity, compassion, mindfulness, and changing destructive thoughts, when possible, by incorporating humor to assist clients in working through life's obstacles and achieving what happiness and success look like to each individual client.
