My name is Briana Yedalian, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 137449). It is essential that clients get personalized suggestions based on your needs. The areas I typically work with are Anxiety, Depression, Life Transitions, Self-Esteem Challenges, Women's Issues and Challenges, Caregiver Fatigue and Support, Intergenerational Trauma, Workplace Trauma, Setting Boundaries, Communication and Assertiveness Skills Relationship Stress (Personal, Professional, and Interpersonal) Academic Stress, Work Stress, and Women's Empowerment.
My communication style
Working with a therapist can feel scary, that's why my initial goal in the room is to create a safe, comfortable space where the focus is on building relationships with clients. In addition to proving a safe holding environment, my style is super authentic; I bring warmth, humor, and even pop culture references and you'll likely see my dog Lola pop in the background at times.
My journey to mental healthcare
Setting goals with clients is done collaboratively; it is based on their expectations and needs in therapy along with their general life goals.
My goals for you
In the first session typically what is brought up are the following; going over confidentiality, informed consent, an introduction of myself, the client's presenting problem, the client's intake, and creating goals.
My first session with you
My ability to connect with others and simply relate to them led me to become a therapist. The best part of my job is to watch clients end a session and see them feel and even look much lighter than when they came in.
