Hi! I'm Kelly Miltenberger, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I work towards recognizing your existing skills and strengths and helping you to expand those into stronger, more adaptable ones to help you achieve your goals.
My approach
Support, validation, guidance- I hear you, I understand you, I listen. No judgment; just compassion. I pull from a variety of therapeutic techniques and theories to treat a wide range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral problems, panic attacks, and many other challenges we may face in life. My main therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavior Therapy and person-centered foundations. I am warm, empathetic, have a sense of humor, and seek to understand your story from your perspective.
My focus
For over 10 years I have been working with children and adults from diverse populations and cultural backgrounds. I have a vast range of clinical experience in forensic settings, In-Patient facilities, virtual settings, and schools.
My communication style
My goal is to provide everyone with a safe, comfortable space to allow honest expression of your thoughts and feelings. There is no right or wrong when it comes to our emotions, all feelings are valid and important.
My journey to mental healthcare
I know firsthand what it is like to be in emotional pain and not feel heard, validated, or understood. Life can present many hardships and navigating it alone can seem nearly impossible. As a therapist, I strive to advocate for my clients while helping them overcome the stressors of life.
