My approach
It is essential to create a safe and welcoming environment for you. I will use empathy and build rapport, while we develop a plan to help you reach your goals. We may use CBT, Solution Focused, and Motivational Interviewing during your therapy. First, we must discuss what your goals are in therapy.
My focus
I have more than 2 decades of experience promoting cultural competence in mental health, behavioral health, schools, primary care, hospitals, senior centers, re-entry programs, and organizations to enhance inclusive business operations and innovation while reducing anxiety, depression, pain management, and transitions, and in urban, rural and suburban communities. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Consultant, and Community Advocate, I have directed policies and procedures, implemented strategic plans for students, teachers, families, and administrators to address the diverse needs in schools, program design, facilitated hundreds of prevention workshops, program evaluation, leadership development, staff engagement and satisfaction, risk management and cultivates ways to maximize excellence for continuous quality improvements and Best Practices for clients. My diverse background makes it possible to build on the results you desire.

I have a Master of Science in Counseling, specializing in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from San Diego State University, certifications in How to Plan, Implement & Sustain Intergenerational Programs, Geriatric Mental Health, and Primary Care Behavioral Health.
